Proudly built in Canada, Honda’s best-selling SUV raised the stakes with the all-new 2023 Honda CR-V. debuting a rugged and sophisticated design. Along with the styling update comes a new and more advanced 4th-generation hybrid-electric system for a fuel-efficient, sporty and more capable driving experience. 

The CR-V is available in four trim levels in 2023, including the new hybrid-powered and more boldly styled CR-V Touring, the new top of the CR-V model line. With 247 lb.-ft of torque from the new generation two-motor hybrid system, it is the most powerful CR-V ever.

Inside, the new sporty and modern interior brings high-quality new materials and must-have tech features. It’s also quieter and more comfortable, with new front Body Stabilizing Seats to reduce fatigue and improve posture, and the most spacious cabin and cargo area in CR-V history. 

Standard class-leading safety features include the new Honda Sensing safety and driver-assistive technology features. The new CR-V comes equipped with a new wide-view camera and radar, next-gen front airbags, as well as new rear side-impact and knee airbags.

The Most Spacious CR-V Ever

With simple and clean surfacing, high-quality feel of materials and upscale touches, the all-new sporty and modern interior builds on the new Honda design direction. CR-V is also more comfortable and more spacious than ever, with a notably larger front-to-rear-seat couple distance and more rear-seat legroom (+15.2 mm). The rear seats now feature eight angles of recline for increased comfort.

The 2023 CR-V has the most cargo room in the model’s history with 1028 L available behind the rear seats (+34 L). In LX, EX-L and Sport, the rear load floor can be lowered, expanding the cargo space to 1112.8 L With the 60/40-split rear seatbacks folded flat, cargo space expands to 2166.2 L.

Brand New Smart Technology

Technology has been smartly integrated into CR-V’s new cabin with a focus on the driver, including a digital instrument display and a notably larger standard touchscreen with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. 

Conveniently, information will be displayed on the standard 7-inch touchscreen or larger 9-inch touchscreen available on the EX-L and Touring trims. 

CR-V Touring comes with a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system custom-engineered for the new interior. The new system features Bose Centerpoint 2 technology and SurroundStage digital signal processing,  placing all passengers in the middle of the music. Regardless of their seating position, everyone will experience a clear and spacious listening experience.

A More Powerful Hybrid Engine 

Available for the first time in Canada, and in Calgary, the CR-V Hybrid Touring features an all-new two-motor hybrid-electric system with a newly refined 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine mated to a pair of electric motors that are now mounted side-by-side. 

This new configuration offers more power and a sportier ride with the use of a larger and more powerful propulsion motor with increased torque output. Combined system output has increased to 204 hp, while the traction-motor peak torque rises to 247 lb.-ft. of torque, making the 2023 CR-V Hybrid Touring the most powerful CR-V ever.

Under the hood of the CR-V LX, Sport and EX-L is an updated 1.5-litre turbo engine with additional refinement, improved emissions performance and 190 horsepower. Enhancements include a new high-efficiency, high-response turbocharger with a  torque peak of 179 lb.-ft. also arrives 300 rpm earlier, from 1,700-5,000 rpm, improving response. Engine noise also has been reduced significantly.

Second to None Safety

The 6th-generation CR-V is a leader in compact SUV safety features and performance thanks to advanced active and passive safety technology that comes standard on every CR-V. This includes the latest version of Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) architecture that has been enhanced for even better compatibility with larger vehicles.

A new Honda Sensing suite of safety and driver-assistive technologies integrates a new wide-angle camera and millimetre-wave radar. Blind spot information is now standard, also new to the CR-V are Traffic Jam Assist, Low-Speed Braking Control and Traffic Sign Recognition, as well as more natural responses for existing features, such as Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow, and Lane Keeping Assist.
