How To Connect Your Android Phone To Your Honda

Connecting an Android Auto-compatible phone to the Display Audio lets you enjoy many of the smartphone’s functions through the vehicle’s touch-screen, without having to touch the phone. And select models that let you make the connection wirelessly.

Android Auto is a fantastic feature for Honda customers who own android phones. It allows a higher level of customization for the customer to make the vehicle truly their own.

To set up your Android Auto for the first time you can follow these easy steps:

  1. Vehicle power must be set to ON.
  2. When prompted with the disclaimer message press OK.
  3. If there is no device previously connected to the vehicle, a “Connect New Device.” message will appear on your Honda’s touchscreen. Press “Do not show this again” and dismiss the message.
  4. Pair your smartphone with Bluetooth by selecting “Phone” and then “Connect New Device.”
  5. Select “Honda” from your smartphone Bluetooth pairing screen and confirm that the pairing codes match on both your smartphone and your Honda touchscreen in the vehicle.
  6. Choose desired functions.
  7. Accept confirmations.
  8. Select “Yes” to enable Android Auto.

If you enjoy hands-free options Google Assistant will become your best friend while you drive. Google Assistant when paired with your phone can be activated by saying “Hey Google!”. Or you can press this button on your steering wheel until the system responds:

Google Assistant is there to help you:
